Eunice Cofie-Obeng

Eunice Cofie-Obeng is the Founder, CEO, and Chief Cosmetic Chemist of Nuekie, an innovative skin care company for people of color. Eunice was inspired to establish Nuekie when her organic chemistry lab professor taught Eunice and her classmates how to create lotions and hair relaxers. During that time, Eunice realized there was a lack of specialized health and beauty products for people of color.  

Eunice holds a BS in Chemistry/Molecular Biology from Florida A&M University and a MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Cosmetic Science from the University of Cincinnati. She is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and holds a certificate in Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century from Harvard Kennedy School of Government. 

She has garnered awards such as the NewU/Ford Foundation Grantee, BeyGood Foundation Grantee, Glossier Grantee, Aveeno Skin Health Startup Accelerator Finalist, 757 Accelerate Grantee, MillerCoors Tap the Future Business Competition Finalist, and Tallahassee/Leon County Technology Commercialization Grant Award. She has been featured on the NASDAQ as well as in Scientific American, Chemical & Engineering, Black Enterprise, Forbes, Allure, Women’s Health, Essence, and InStyle.
